Russia starts military exercises with Belarus
The war between the US and Russia over Ukraine is
increasing. On February 10, Russia and Belarus began their largest joint
military exercise in recent years. Thousands of soldiers, along with tanks,
fighter aircraft and S-400 missile defense systems, are participating in the
Allied Resolution 2022 exercise in Belarus until February 20.
War exercises being conducted near Poland and Lithuania
Reports suggest that more than 30 thousand Russian soldiers
will conduct military exercises for the next 10 days. War exercises are being
conducted near Ukraine as well as Poland and Lithuania. Please note that Poland
and Lithuania are members of NATO. This war exercise is taking place at a time
when Russia has deployed more than one lakh soldiers on the Ukraine border. The
US has consistently said that Russia can attack Ukraine by the end of February.
However, Moscow has denied invading Ukraine. The Kremlin has accused Western
countries of trying to undermine Russia's security.
The US and NATO have expressed concern about this exercise.
NATO has warned that Russia is conducting war drills before attacking Ukraine.
Experts say that Russia is in the eye that if NATO, America or Ukraine takes
any anti-Russian step, then Moscow can attack Ukraine on this pretext.
US President Joe Biden has threatened Moscow that if Russia
attacks Ukraine, the Kremlin will face sanctions that Russian President
Vladimir Putin would not have seen.
